Greg Street's Sneaker of the Week - "OG Jordan Metallic Blue"
Part of the original “metallic” series, this is one of the rarest colorways of the Air Jordan I. It is very sought after now, but what many people don’t know is that when these originally dropped, as well as the other Air Jordan I colorways, sales were not to high even at a $65 price point. But back then, $65 was alot of money for a pair of sneakers. What’s more astounding is that these actually ended up on sales and clearance racks for as low as $20. Sneaker Friends 09 at 595 North
Sneaker Friends 09 was the craziest Sneaker Friends party yet! Greg Street shut the city down with the Sneakers, Tees and Fitteds edition. Shoelebrities from across the country came out to support! Mayor, Matt from Nice Kicks, Kadoma from OSD, Safe from MiGente, Kim D from Tallahassee & more. The A's most prominent boutiques were in the building (shout out to the ATL New Era Flagship store!) along with A Town legends Ray Daniels, Slim Calhoun, Khujo Goodie, Dj, Andre Benjamin, and Dj Swift. To top the night off, Street gave away the 2nd and 3rd pair of yeezys!!! if you weren't in the building, you missed out on the party of the summer!!

A certain blogger made reference to Greg Street being a big sneaker head last year, but even Street couldnt get these. Let that person know Polow also told Street he couldnt get them. Tupac Birthday Bash at the Tupac Memorial Center in Stone Mountain
On June 16th Street and the rest of Atlanta Celebrated Tupac's Birthday at the Tupac Memorial Center. The event was co-hosted by Mike Epps and M1 of Dead Prez. The stage was accommodated by Lil’ Scrappy, Playaz Circle, 8Ball & MJG, Mika Means & the legendary Bun B. New comers Rich Kidz and Yung La also performed to keep the crowd moving. It was an event to remember as ATL paid homage to one of the most revered mc's hip hop has ever birthed.

| Before life got super crazy for a “cool young Lu”,Lupe Fiasco inked an interesting deal withReebok though he was quoted many times (including the launch of the Reebok shoe) that his favorite kicks were the John Lennon “Imagine” Converse Chuck Taylors. Though at the time on team RBK, Lupe wore Chuck Taylors on the cover of his debut album “Food and Liquor”.
In March, Lupe Fiasco provided entertainment at the release party of the Dr. Romanelli’s x Converse Product (RED)creation wearing a pair of Chucks that generated some quick internet buzz onSupertouch.
Complex was able to score a pair of the Lupe Fiasco x Converse Product (red) Chuck Taylors that currently are not slated for public release.

To celebrate St. Patty’s Day adidas style, the shoe brand collaborated with hip-hop group “House of Pain” to create the House of Pain X adidas Originals Campus 80;s. The shoe isn’t only limited to St. Patty’s Day; House of Pain had fun with the shoe by adding their own flavor to it, hence the “fine malt lyrics” text printed in gold parallel to the trademark stripes and stitched in green on the tongue tag. The shoe features green suede that is contrasted by a white midsole; the heel also has white leather in between red and light green suede. What gives this shoe its soul is the House of Pain X adidas emblem on the tongue tag, which resembles the group’s crest on its debut album. Only 1500 pairs of this shoe have been produced, and it will be launched at Concepts in Boston on St. Patty’s Day along with a matching Celts’ jersey.

President Obama Launches White House Internship Program
Dear Colleagues:
On February 26, President Obama launched the White House Internship Program for his administration and announced that applications are currently being accepted for the summer of 2009. Those selected to participate in the program will gain valuable job experience and an inside look at the life of White House staff while building leadership skills.
“This program will mentor and cultivate young leaders of today and tomorrow and I’m proud that they will have this opportunity to serve,” said President Obama. “I look forward to working with those that are selected to participate and I want to commend all who apply for their desire to help through public service to forge a brighter future for our country.”
In addition to normal office duties, interns will supplement their learning experience by attending a weekly lecture series hosted by senior White House staff, help at White House social events, and volunteer in community service projects.
The 2009 Summer Internship program runs from May 22 to August 14 and the submission deadline is March 22, 2009.
Those interested in applying to the White House Internship Program must be:
· US Citizens
· Eighteen years of age on or before the first day of the internship
· Enrolled in a college or university (2-4 year institution) or must have graduated from college in the past two years
Interns will be placed in a departmental office for their internship. Below is a list of departments in the Office of the President and the Office of the Vice President where interns could be placed.

· The Office of Cabinet Affairs
· The White House Communications Department
· The White House Office of Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs

Bike Giveaway at Crucial with Greg Street and TI
TI and Club Crucial brought a new meaning to the term "Giving Back" for the Holidays on December 23rd at Crucial. The King gave away an amount of 300 gifts including Bikes, Toys, and Gift cards. Hundreds of Kids and Parents stood in lines that wrapped around the block. The response was so overwhelming, TI gave cash prizes to accomodate those who werent able to receive a gift. The Nike “Coraline” Dunk Hi features a large button on top of the laces with a combination of faded Blue and Brown canvas upper. The shoe has light Brown accents with a Black mid-sole and a light Blue out-sole. This one of a kind sneaker is inspired by the upcoming animated film, "Coraline", which has already circulated on the Internet. The movie was created by Henry Selick who also created the movie, "The Nightmare Before Christamas". The plot has a woman named Coraline who was supposedly killed in a plane crash. After 15 years, Coraline made her way back to her family. Coraline then asked for her rightful inheritance. The family did not know how to react because they had believed Coraline was killed in a plane crash. The reviews were amazing, catch it February 6th in a theater near you!
